The morphology of BTLA+ cells in liver tissues from patients with HBV-related acute-on-chronic liver failure (HBV-ACLF) was detected by immunofluorescence double staining. Immunofluorescence double staining revealed that BTLA was expressed on CK-18+ epithelial cells, CD31+ endothelial cells, CD68+ macrophages, CD56+ NK cells, CD16+ monocytes, CD3+ CD8+ T cells, and Foxp3+ regulatory T cells (Treg), whereas BLTA was absent on PD-1+ cells. The arrow indicates positive cells. The nuclei were stained with DAPI, and the scale bar indicates 20 μm.
