Immunohistochemical features of the spleen. Only few scattered T lymphocytes are seen as highlighted by CD3 stain (A, magnification 100x). Majority of lymphocytes in the white and red pulp are CD20
positive (B, magnification 100x) and BCL-2 positive (C, magnification 200x) B cells. PCR for IgH gene rearrangement performed on spleen paraffin-embedded sections reveals polyclonal
pattern with no clonal rearrangements detected (D) (Lane 1 - no DNA; Lane 2 - patient; Lane 3 - negative control; Lane 4 - positive
control).
